I found this at a local pawnshop, and I wasn't sure if it was a coin error or not. Its shaped like a coin that was put on the railroad tracks, but it still has all of the details, and everything looks a little bigger. What do you al think? I also took a picture of it beside a regular penny.
I can't tell a thing from those photos other than the fact that it has been heavily circulated. Chris
Corroded maximus, coin isn't worth anything at all. Even if there was an error in that condition it wouldn't be worth anything. Better luck next time.
A 'penny press' would elongate a coin but that's not considered an error. Does it look anything like these Charles?
its elongated like this, I've seen pressed coins before, but it still has Lincoln and the memorial on the coin, and all of the details are gone
