One of these was a impulse buy, the other well planned.

What do you think it grades? Give it a shot. I like some of the darker gold - you look enough you will see some like this. And I do not consider myself an expert - I tend to under grade gold.

And you would be a little low - just a tad. I am not very good at running guess the grades. :) Anyway - when I look at PCGS photograde I can see where they get the grade, but that does not exactly line up with my with my ANA books. This one really attracted my attention cause of the color - I really liked it. I kept looking at it and some others and finally decided I wanted it. Honestly maybe an older PCGS holder it would have been a 45, but I'll take it as it is. I just hope the color is just like the pictures.

1958 Proof Lincoln (PCGS PR66RB). About as much color as you'll find on a PCGS graded Proof Lincoln. Obverse is not nearly as pretty (a bit spotty) but shows the same colors around the rim only.

Nice! The wheat penny has my favorite reverse of any coin. Love it.

Funny you should say that because the 1925 D (first one) was the coin I had picked out after viewing many lots. The 1914-D was the impulse.

    Thanks for your kind comments.

So true, and if one gets addicted to anything there is no better addiction to have than coin collecting.
