and then to one of the largest silver at 39 mm and 31 grams, KM# 276 1979 Peru 5000 Soles de Oro (Commemorative issue 100 years battle of Iquique),
I second Derick on this: they are very beautiful coins. Congratulations, Gallienus, on your having acquired them. It is a charming design. I have been trying for years to find an affordable 4 and 1 escudo of the type, but every time they appear, the prices seems to skyrocket.
Had a busy week getting some nice coins in, more to come in the next week. I got a Two Pence & One Pence large copper George III cartwheels, a dateless Twenty Pence Mule and a collection of various silver coins from all over.
Thank you Mat. I`m hoping the next 7 days will provide even better stuff, I have an ad in my local paper and getting quite a few calls
All lovely coins, but this one's a real beauty. I've always been a fan of that 5 lire eagle design as well.
I bought a nice mixture last night, A George III Penny in close to Unc as I`ve seen. A worse for wear 17th century Charles I Shilling. A George III 1762 gold Quarter Guinea and two gold Half Sovereigns Victoria & Edward VII I also bought a half kilo 500 gram 999 silver bar still in its wrapping.
I have that same piece. The history surrounding it is very interesting. You should check it out sometime.
