Just an old '49 nickel

    I love the patina on this. The pictures don't do it justice. I see a lot of beautiful old nickels, but this one jumped out at me. There's something about the way '40s nickels age. I'd rather have this one than a MS-67 version of the same coin. I wanted to share it with you.

    Yeah I gotta agree on the aging thing, they turn out really nice.

    Are you sure about that? Have you ever seen and MS67 1949-D Jefferson Nickel?

    Yes. The patinaed coins look cooler to me.

    I am not sure what you mean by that, there are plenty of MS67 1949-D Jefferson Nickels with a patina, eg:
