So, I was feeling pretty good, good bonus and nice salary increase, then the wife decides our house just won't do. So an offer on a house, fixing up of ours to try to sell, and Chris is on both a pretty brutal diet both of coin money and coin time. Hopefully when the time frees up I will be able to dig through old purchases for fun, but any kind of new major purchases is probably off the table for a while. Oh well, maybe this is what I need to actually spend some time with some previous acquisitions. The new house has a den at least, so maybe in the future I can set up a photograph setup.
Understand that I'm either out straight with work and making plenty of money or got time but feeling broke cause its slow I spend it when I got it the joys of self employment house is a neverending project here too don't have a wife tho have just myself lately I'm kinda broke and not buying a thing either so I feel your pain coin withdrawal sucks!!
Dang. Well maybe you can make a good profit from selling your house and will be able to direct some cash towards a newp.
If she lets you get that photograph set up that is. I moved in with the gf a year ago and only got a desk. I expect that to decrease to a solitary shelf if we ever get married.
Lol. Well there is about 4000 sq feet to this place, so I would hope dad could be alotted 100 or so just to himself. It might be wishful thinking, I know......
Through the 90's and 00's I was doing 500-1000 a month on coin, then 08 -09, hit ouch, slapped down, good and bad sides to this, but 'hey what can yuz do.
I'm about to drop at least 10K on a new vehicle, possibly 12 or 13. I despise any sort of debt. So that will put me on the sidelines for a while as well.
You don't have it that bad Chris. I'm moving in with my fiance right now and she won't even let me bring my coins to the new place citing "space issues". I mean c'mon! There are 6 closets in the apartment and my coins would only take up two of them.
Closets are excellent little rooms to use for a photo set up. It saves getting out and putting away the stuff for each use. There is no such thing as too many closets. If I had it to do over again, my house would have fewer square feet of bedroom and more of storage space.
find yourself a walk in closet and make it a coin office / hobby room... or use the basement if its clean an finished
Here's an idea to try to convert an unthusiastic wife or girlfriend when your feeling flush get her a pretty piece of gold or silver jewelry and go buy yourself a nice gold or silver coin then say to her your jewelry and my jewelry it might work!
When my wife and I were dating, I'd spend every possible moment gambling in a poolroom. I'd take her along with me, and when the game was over, I'd give her a few hundred bucks to buy whatever she wanted. After we were married, she told me that she didn't like me spending so much time in a poolroom. It was the hardest decision I ever had to make, but you know what? I don't miss her at all! Chris
I thought you were referring to the diet of Ramen noodles every collector goes on after he finds a particularly nice coin.
