Perhaps Off-Topic, But I Cannot Post At PCGS (Banned?)

I realize this might be an off-topic thread, but I participate regularly on both PCGS and CT forums (while having taken a break from the NGC forums) and today I keep receiving messages from PCGS that I am not allowed to participate on their boards. I don't think I have been banned, but the message received states-

"You have been forbidden to post/reply or edit a message in these forums."

I have never seen this message before. I can open a PM and type out a new PM, but when I go to send it the PM is blocked. Similarly, I can write a new post, but the posting is blocked. Lastly, I can go into a post of mine and edit it, but that gets blocked, too.

Is anyone else having this problem or am I the lucky one?

I just tried and can post as well as read/send PMs. I'd be shocked if they banned you - maybe try logging out/back in and refreshing the page to clear any cached entries?

 

Thank you for these suggestions. I logged out on both my PC and iPad and then logged back in and both show me as logged in and I can read PMs or apparently start or reply to threads. However, on both devices I get this message.

Yes, the boards looks and behaves normally until I press enter/submit to post a new post or thread or to send a PM. The board then pops up with that message and the post or thread or PM does not register. Very odd.

 

Tom, I checked your personal details on the CU Forum. PCGS shows you last logged on at 11:11 a.m. this morning. All looks nominal that I can tell ... good luck!

I don't think I'm banned because it is my understanding that if you are banned and attempt to log in that the process fails and you receive a message such as-

"You are not authorized to use these forums."

This is different than the message I am receiving. Also, I can log in without trouble, but it is the posting part that fails. I sent an email to Don a little while ago and hope to find out what is up shortly.

Just sounds like a permission thing, the perms probably got screwed up for some reason. I work in IT and we are always straightening out something some bonehead admin did.

My account at PCGS went haywire for a while, so I joined CT and hardly ever go to the PCGS boards anymore. Not that I don't like it, just the people over here seem a little friendlier. They do have some really outstanding members though.

 

The poster in that thread stated that it was a glitch that was fixed when PCGS received his email. I expect that to be the case for me, too, but it is still frustrating.

 

Nary a discouraging word ever penned by you Tom........must be a glitch.
