George, you now need the nickel pattern piece, to complete the collection!! http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Canada-Patte...pure-nickel-planchet-PCGS-SP-64-/300906842106 Nothing like watching people scratch their head when a strong magnet sticks to the PCGS slab (with the label covered)...
Dadgum, for $5800 PLUS $20 for shipping (you'd think they could throw that in, nicht?) I guess I'll keep my wallet closed. Best Regards, George
Can any of my Canadian silver collectors post any and all information that is official in nature relating to the 25th anniversary maple leafs with the silver "25" on them. As of this moment I am aware that the large bullion distributors have 1,000,000 of them and that they are trickling out to us laymen. I want to know everything and anything about the ones with the gold gilding. One version has the "25" in gold with a mintage of 525; Crazy Silly Low Mintage with a box and COA. The other has the maple in the background behind the "25" with the gold gilding and a mintage of 999, no COA or box. I am curious if that means there are only 998,476 regular all silver versions floating around because these 525 and 999 were altered silver versions or if these are in addition to that original 1,000,000 figure. Also, if anyone knows of any strange releases like these regarding maple leafs in the past, excluding colorized versions of maple leafs and holograms (i despise colored coins, i only collect silver and gold) please post any and everything or PM me. on a side note, i exclude the 2005 Maple of Hope as a hologram, and own that coin, though it barely met my requirements. =)
I'm going to guess about XF45 but honestly it's too hard to tell from the obverse photo how much wear there is through the hair; the reverse looks higher imo.
