Phone lines would be snarled, the website would blow up, and there would be fist fights in the streets.........
first of all, thank you to the original poster for bringing this to my attention. I am a Canadian silver and maple lover/collector. going forward, if anyone ever comes across something like this, either extreme low mintage on a reasonable priced Canadian or American item, or unreleased to the public, unannounced to the public, etc item, please PM me. I just bought one of each for 2 reasons: the first being I collect any non-colorized maple coin, second, with a mintage of only 525, the gold gilded version, in my opinion, and this is just a prediction, will easily be worth north of $500 raw within 2 years. look at the performance of the 2013 reverse proof fractional maple set. one of my favorite buys. a close second is the 5oz version. super low mintage. awesome scanning of the numismatic radar soldier, I am in your pocket.
now that it comes up, are there any other similar to this 25th anniversary that weren't available direct to the public from the mint in past years that had to pass through a dealer? I want them. I have $ to trade.
I have no idea. I was just looking up coins on Ebay and this showed up and I thought everyone in here would want to take a look and see.
this coin is selling around $200 now on feebay....i have a feeling with a silly low mintage of 525 it is a winner
is this a different one now too???????????????? with 999 mintage???? http://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-5-1oz-...4177?pt=US_Canadian_Coins&hash=item2587bdaaf1
Oh, heck, I had a ton of Ebay funny money to spend so I bought one to throw in the safe for some day.
I spent my ebay money and bought a 2013 Canadian venetian butterfly coin. I have to pull back this year on coins anyways.
Well, I broke down and bought one anyways. Bill me later account. The two sellers are the same ones who sold the last gilded one. They must have bought a bunch and had them plated. The first was with a box and certificate. It also claimed to be made in the U.S. This one claims to be made in Canada and only comes in a capsule. I got mine in the mail today. I paid 90 a piece for them. I listed one back up on Ebay for 170. and it sold within 2 hours.
I just sold another one for 182.00 I dont know why people are paying this much for these. They are just after market gold plating. but nearly a 100.00 dollars profit per coin, I cant resist selling them.
just so everyone knows, the 2 original sellers of these coins on ebay are DAZZLINGCOINS and CoinCollectorJunkie...who are the same person. Just had quite the little ordeal with her.
