Looks like F but obviously damaged. I personally wouldn't pay more than $20.

That's a one or two dollar junk bin coin.

Not much looks like it. Met a machete I wouldn't buy it for more than face value

I think that "someone" is the OP. He certainly overpaid for this coin in my opinion... though it appears buyers on eBay have no shame. The "worst of the worst" large cents sell for $10 plus... so if you can find them in a dealers junk bin for a dollar or two, bingo... instant profit.

i thought that the coin would probably sell for more $31.99, i figured it would sell in the $60.00-$75.00 price range.

Not even close. The heavy scratches and discoloration really bring down the price. For $75, a person bought a lower grade but much nicer looking 1805 large cent. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1805-Draped...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I would recommend doing more research on the going prices of Large Cents. When you get a coin scratched up as bad is you did, expect really no more than 20-30% of the asking price of a normal example.

Personally wouldn't buy it but these coins are still very collectable damaged. It has become pretty hard to find all original with no damage or cleaning! Someone looking for a Type Set coin, this would be good. Great amount of detail for $32!

I collect under $20 large cents. I have a few rough ones but none like this. This is ruined
