I am going through a box of $25 right now and so far about 25-30% has been copper. I have quite a few 1982 pennies that I have to test. My hearing isn't all that great so I can't really do a sound test. I don't want to buy a scale just to measure the 1982 pennies either, so I will have to think of another way to determine which ones are copper.

I have found a few worn wheat pennies, all from 40's and 50's - nothing earlier. But I've only been through about 1/4 of the box so I have a ways to go.

Easy way to weigh the 82's: Tape a piece of straw to the middle of a popsickle stick and tape a zincoln on the end of one of the sides. Makes a nice little weight scale plus the added bonus that you get to eat a popsickle :)

According to coinflation $210 F/V is worth $462.31.

I was never able to sell mine so I dumped them. Did you sell off ebay or in person?

Then at least you didn't have to pay ebay fees and shipping and stuff. So while you didn't get full value for them at least you made more than F/V. Can't complain with that.
