I was having trouble hanging in there until midnight...yeah, I know I'm a real light weight. And then I pulled out some coins to gaze at lovingly and voila! I'm ready to go. Probably be awake for the next two days.:D HAPPY NEW YEAR COIN TALKERS! HOPE 2014 IS GOOD TO EVERYONE.
    Kindest Regards,

Happy new year to everyone. I have always been a nightowl, so midnight, even with two small boys, will not be a problem.

Yeah Ken, you know I have a problem staying awake when I'm drinking cheap booze. This year I went crazy though...got some good stuff. Rebel Yell bourbon and some Mother Glodstein's. I think I blew 4 bucks for the both of them. Geez, that's good stuff!

Rebel Yell bourbon, Billy Idol named his album after that drink after seeing Mick Jagger and Keith Richards drinking it at a party once. Happy new year everyone

Is that cheap booze really named "Mother Glodstein's", or is it starting to have the desired "numbing effect"? LOL Regardless, I'm starting to wind down after a hectic year, by imbibing my favorite Vino, in front of a restful fire. Thank you ALL for your tolerance, and helping an old man enjoy a few peaceful moments by interacting with a wonderful group. PEACE to ALL, and to a shared New Year. Respectfully, Rich

Mother Goldstein's is a "fine" red wine from a vineyard somewhere in downtown Detroit I believe Rich. At a buck a bottle it better be "fine". :D Happy New Year to you too.

Thanks for the clarification Bruce, as I had a glass of fine red wine in my hand while reading your post where you had spelled Goldstein as Glodstein, and I almost saturated the screen of my computer while laughing about the cheap effects of your fine inebriate. If we can't laugh during the last few minutes of this year, while relaxing, we're doing something wrong. I really have appreciated some of the fine minutes shared in this venue during this past year, and just wanted to thank All for a good year!! Appreciably, Rich

I had to struggle to keep awake - even until 9 pm.
The reason is we are spending new years in Mexico, and Mexico time is 7 hours behind Germany - so midnight for us came at 5 pm…...
