Got pics, and still didn't happen. Also, with the pubes on it, I wouldn't want it unless it was conserved. You took it out of the plastic, and put it on something, somewhere, that has pubes. Kinda gross if you ask me.

Bring some extra popcorn and beer for me, please? It's going to be interesting...seems like he's convinced himself, and just won't take 'no' for an answer...we've seen it before.

But, to the point.....I agree with the consensus, Wide AM's. I've got my video unit out to record the train wreck after noon time. Any time someone has refused to take the advice of those who KNOW the variety, when they say 'sorry, not the variety' (in this case, Close AM's). Funny, but the owner of the coin just KNOWS it's the biggie and can't face facts, is CERTAIN it's the biggie, but now needs to take them to a coin shop? That's uncertainty in my eyes. Why bother asking here if you KNOW for a FACT it's a close AM?? What happens when the 'dealer' tells you the same thing you've been told here? Also, just hope the dealer knows the variety. I notice more and more dealers know much less than longtime forum members. With the OP stating: 'It says the A & M don't touch, that's all I need to know'......he still won't be convinced, and does need to know more about the variety. In the images of both coins, the A and M don't touch. If they don't touch, it doesn't mean it's the Close AM. The images show that NEITHER the Wide or Close AM touch. It's not a 'welp, the A&M don't touch, so these are CAM's',

I KNOW that no matter what, no matter how many times the OP is told WAM, he'll insist he still has the Close AM. We've seen it seemingly hundreds of times, and we're about to see it happen again. Where it's 12:30pm, here on the east coast, it should only be a matter of a little time until we hear from the O.P. If he doesn't update us after having them checked out (just a waste of gas to hear what he heard already), these might just pop up on ebay as Close AM's (take the pubes off first, before imaging again, please?).

Good question! But, I believe we definitely know the answer...this thread, unless members ask, this'll fall to the bottom by dinner time

Not so amazing when you see that 2/3 of the posts are by him.

He's probly like 14 and just overexcited.

And it's cool to see someone that young (potentially) get excited, but like was stated above, the OP came looking for confirmation, didn't get it, but still won't listen. We'll probably get a post about "how the dealer tried to rip him off because he knows it's a Close AM and he wants to keep it for himself..."

Well I for one hope he comes back, admits to being wrong about his coins, and sticks around for years to come. No sense scaring a new member away.

You're right, that would be the optimal situation. I hope that the OP comes back and learns a bunch about coins, too, though my guess is that this will be the last we hear of the 1992 CAM...

The only thing we need now, is another Detecto thread to go along with it.

Well it's way past the coin shop's opening time and we haven't heard anything. My guess is that he sold all of his rare treasures for loads of $$ and hopped on a plane to some tropical destination.
