i would think it would grade low mint state. however I'm not sure about the rim on the reverse at the top. I'm not sure how that would effect the grading
Numerous hits both sides, including a distracting mark along the jawline on the obverse, noticeable wear on both sides as well. Mid AU range, about $30-$38.
That was a good catch, as I did not see it at first. But it is somewhat distracting when you discover it. I see too much wear on the chest of the eagle to get it to mint state. But in my view it has high-grade details. Can anyone clarify how that reverse shot to the rim would affect the grade, if at all?
I d I too am curious about that marks influence on the grade. I would say low mint state as well though. It does have marks and hits, but doesn't appear to have circulation wear. The hair line is still detailed, and the eagle chest is still feathers. That being said, I wouldn't give it any kind of special premium, though.
Taking a closer look at the coin i do see a little wear and would have to say AU 58. I don't think i would grade any lower then that.
