Do you buy the coins one at a time (Ebay, coin shops, etc.) or do you buy old lots of coins (rolls, or buy the pound, etc.), semi-completed albums from estate sales, or do you just watch your pocket change and hope that rare old 1816 quarter you needed will just pop up one day?
LoL. I don't do coin shows. They conflict with women's schedules, gun shows and tool shows. I buy other folk's semi completed albums (often Ebay) then cherry pick what they accomplished before death, or like last week, just buy 4 pounds of wheat pennies and 3 'unsearched' rolls of silver dimes. Then while waiting for next season's 'Walking Dead' I will have something to do.
I buy semi completed set , lots , single coins, raw coins @ shows and a few other places.. like local shops and such
Well about 2/3 were my inheritance from my father and grandfather . A lot of auctions and as a partner in a coin shop. «©»
One at a time. Primarily only collecting bullion coins to put in albums, so eBay, and the other silver stores.
Mostly through coin shop one at a time. I have bought a few from Ebay but I like to physically see the coin before I buy it and some photos do too much justice or not enough. Been on a holiday spending break will buy my next 7070 coin after the holidays.
