...it's definitely where my extra $$ went I got mine fairly quick, thought it would be slower with the free shipping thing; not too worry Steve, you'll love it once it does arrive
Napoleon 5 Francs, An XI. This is the actual in-hand color—a rich, almost burgundy patina with some light blue toning highlights.
Egypt 1956 20 Piastres This is a 0.72 Silver coin that is roughly the size of a US half dollar. (0.324 ounces of silver that shall avoid the melting pot & reside in a happy home)
Ordered this at the same time as the 2014 in my other post, this one was on back order; it's the first coin of the bank note series - Design is from the 1888 Bank of Commerce $20 note
I just received the most incredible bronze 20 centavos I have ever seen. They are usually all brown. I was floored!
I think you got a nice coin for the price you paid. I would grade VF, details, rim damage. I'm a little conservative on Great Britain coins, however. If it would move up to XF, you got a great deal. Nice coin!
here's mine, just arrived after only 5 days. think I got a good deal, paid only 6 pounds. what do you guys think it grades?
I'm not an expert grader, but I don't think the nick on the edge of the British crown is enough to warrant a details grade. Technically, the area on the obverse with the noticeable nick is the edge, not rim.
my girlfriend Jenny just bought this fantasy coin set from Annobon for me for christmas. awesome. guess which coin I liked best ? yup the "worm"
My friend from New South Wales sent me several Australian coins, including some older ones. Here are some pre-decimalization coins. A 1948 half penny, a 1952 penny, a 1964 three pence, a 1953 sixpence, a 1961 shilling, and a 1953 florin. The coins, except for the pennies, are 50% silver. This 1977 Silver Jubilee half dollar is gorgeous. It's one of the most beautiful coins I've ever seen.
1761 Papal States 1/2 Grosso - Pope Clement XIII. Featuring partial toning on the reverse and a creepy angelic face.
