I managed to pick up an upgrade at last weekends Heritage. It's in a PCGS MS64RB holder and includes a CAC sticker. Most of the Lincolns with John Albanese endorsement have sold for almost prohibitive premiums. Luckily(?) this one wasn't to high.
WingedLiberty set up some boards a while back for his Toned Lincoln Proof Collection. I asked him if I could have them and he shred them with me. Unfortinatly I do not have Photoshope so my set up is not as great as WL but here is my collection of Toned Lincoln Proofs that I have been working on with the help of WingedLiberty and Robec. It is not as beautiful and none of mine are graded but I love them all. Please let me know what you think.
Beautiful set gonzo! I'm jealous - you have a 36 proof. TOUGH TOUGH COIN, I still don't have one. It's the only one I'm missing from 36 up.
Your absolutely right Caz I picked that one up with Robec at a coin shop he took me to the first time we met. I picked it up for a whopping $18.00. I think someone did the MS70 technique on it so it's not perfect but for that price I could not pass it up. This was also when I was learning about Lincoln Proofs so I didn't know what I had until later that day when Robec told me about it. Just one of the great cherry picks I have a great story about.
Yes and I believe that they only minted 1,756 of the Satin 1936. I can't remember where I read that or if it is even correct. Maybe I can get a better answer from here .
