    Tonight was a slow night. I found a 1959-P penny, a 1958-D nickel and a 1960-D nickel, and a Tulsa Transit token.

Tonight was a good night for pre-1960 nickels. I found pennies from 1929-D, 1959-D, 1960-D, and a really nice 1964-D that is a solid AU if not a BU. It has a nice rich luster to it. I also found 1939-P, 1941-P, 1946-P, 1954-D, 1958-D, 1960-D nickels. There were 3 Canadian dimes on top of the register when I got to work, because the coworkers know I collect coins. I also found a 1979-D Carter Quarter and a Series 1995 $10 bill.

I had to Google that one!

It means a Susan B. Anthony dollar. ;-)

I assumed that everybody knew what a Carter Quarter was. It is indeed a Susan B Dollar, or as I call them, SBDs.

I've never heard of those gorgeous Susan B. Anthony Dollars :rolleyes:called a Carter dollar either. Don't think I'll ever use the information but my hat's off to ya' for the education anyways. :)

As a newcomer to the internet coin community (but a veteran at collecting), I have asked a lot of questions so it's nice that I was able to share some of my limited knowledge.

All your finds are awesome, congrats. That's the funnest type of collecting in my opinion, when you can find something that excites you in pocket change or rolls without having to buy them.

The last few days have been dry. I found an odd 2001 Canadian dime tonight but very little else in the last week.

It is nice that your colleagues also put aside unusual coins from the cash drawer.

Today was a good day for coin spotting. First, I stopped by a store on the way to work and asked the clerk if he had any halves, and he pulled out a bicentennial half dollar minted in Denver. At work I spotted 1956-D and 1959-P pennies; 1940-P, 1948-D, and two 1959-D nickels; a 1977 Eisenhower large dollar coin, and a Series 2006 $1 star note. This is the second star note I have found in the last 3 days. I need to look for them a little harder from now on.

Tonight was a nickel night. I found a 1919-D wheat penny, and four Jefferson nickels: 1952-S, 1958-D, 1959-D, and 1960-D. The find of the night is a well worn 1925-P buffalo nickel. I pulled it out of a bank-wrapped roll. This is the second buffalo nickel that I have found at work and the first one with a readable date. It was supposed to be my day off, but I came in to relieve a coworker and ended up finding this baby, so I'm glad I came in.

reading some of the earlier posts here, when you hear silver hitting the counter, ask the customer if they have more change, as your till is running low and you will buy it from them.

Bugo finds a lot of stuff, but it all pales in comparison to the paper money I found at the bar last night. Unfortunately the guy caught up to me and I had to give his wallet back :(

Last night I found nickels from 1941 (P), 1947 (P), 1959 (D) and 1960 (D) and a 1947 Canadian nickel. The Canadian nickel has 12 sides, the King on the obverse and the nickel content is so high that the coin sticks to magnets. I doubt this coin is common in circulation today in Canada, much less Oklahoma.
