Got mine yesterday - looks like a pretty nice little piece of collectability! If I have the chance, I'd like to head over to the show in September.
The Battlefield Coin Show™ medals are selling fast! I only had 250 made and will not order any more for the 2014 Show. The one for the 2015 show has been designed and is waiting in the wings! I'm happy you are happy with the medal. Please stop by the show!
Welcome to C/T Michael. Love the medal. I get out your way once in awhile and will see if I can make the show. Where's it going to be held? Bruce
The show will be held at the Eisenhower Hotel and Event Complex, 2634 Emmitsburg Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325. I hope to see you!
1st MIBARS (military intelligence battlion aerial recon support) Muscara Compound, Saigon. Brass, C/A, 5.4 grams, 24mm Cunningham VN309c Same both sides.
It fits in a silver dollar size 1-1/2" this is what I used SILVER DOLLARS (1.5"/38.1MM) (3 PACK): PREMIER COIN HOLDER
Just picked this up on eBay in a small lot of counterstamps. I love these stamped Spanish silver coins (1800 2-Reales). The "T.M./1848" is unlisted and not attributed, but looks to have an outside chance at attribution. Two things going for it; the date and the odd, unusual shaped "T". The serif at the base of the letter only extends to the right and not all the way across as you would expect. I looked at it under strong magnification thinking it might be a broken punch, but it isn't. The corner is smooth, so it was made that way. It an interesting diagnostic that could someday lead to an attribution. The date pretty much takes the guesswork out of when it was struck. Any little bit helps. Bruce
Ken didn't take any chances with this one longnine. Look at the size of "copy". Nice token for sure. Bruce
I have a Repro of a Flying Eagle cent from Royal Oak with copy at the bottom. For some reason it seems a lot less distracting at the top on the CSA. Maybe the cotton bales draw the eye downward?
The "copy" doesn't distract too much longnine but it sure is obvious to anyone whose even half paying attention. That's not a criticism though...it should be easy to spot. I've seen some where it's virtually impossible to see. Bruce
I'm going to dedicate this one to Charmy who just finished the Houston Money Show and is wearing a cowgirl hat in one of her photos./// Greater Houston Coin Club, 1997, Proof, silver, Gallery Mint, C/A, 4.3 grms, 20mm
Nice token longnine. I think I have an example in my collection but I'm not sure. I'll have to take a look around tomorrow and see if I can scare it up. Bruce
