Then why did you ask us for our opinions, if our responses don't count because we don't have the coin in hand?

You don't seem to be actively discussing this coin with us. It just seems that we post what we think, and regardless, you just post more photos and continue to make incorrect assumptions about your coin.

If i did have it in hand I'd be smart enough to use it in a vending machine or otherwise spend it, and not waste time and bandwidth fishing for a confirmation that it is what it is not. You contribute nothing but raised blood pressure.

As far as the quarter you posted, before you say anything about it: it is damage. The ding smashes the field, devices and the rim. Go buy yourself a gumball with it.

Oh, one more thing: you learn more by reading up on these things. Not by making false claims. Why so adamant? Selling them on ebay or what?

Ah well , the educator stills says to correct. Diamond is hydrophobic, water doesn't adhere to it, but will bead on the surface, so diamonds don't wet with water. Conversely diamond is lipophilic , it adhere to fat or oils. Diamonds are separated from the ore by running the ore on a fat bed conveyer belt. The ore falls off on the end and the diamonds stick , to be scraped off later.

I did a ton of research before I ever even spoke a single word wrote a single email or made a single thread. You dont seem to have an eye for this or the open mind it takes to figure out these oddities. You have been ignored

You have ignored everyone else who says you post trash. Why should I be any different? As far as my not having an eye for this.... I actually found an improperly annealed quarter not long ago. I posted it and it was confirmed by one of the top attributors in the nation. My avatar is an actual error and was confirmed by an expert as well. If you so believe what you claim, send your crap off for attribution and pay the fee as I did. Then name who you sent them to and post the results as I did. Then you might seem like less of a raving lunatic.

But that would require you to actually have a REAL error coin, and we have yet to see you post ONE. So good luck with that.

    The word is spelled jargOn.
Google it, and it is defined as such:
    jar·gon1
    ˈjärgən/
    noun
    1.
special words or expressions that are used by a particular profession or group and are difficult for others to understand.
    "legal jargon"
synonyms: specialized language, slang, cant, idiom, argot, patter

SO, if terms related to Mint produced error coins are nothing more than 'jargon' to you, then you should be ASKING first IF you have an error, then if it is, WHAT KIND. Otherwise you just make yourself look silly.

Believe it or not, I have not yet ignored YOU, because I still want to be the first one to congratulate you when you find a REAL one. Even though you called the WAH!mbulance over the meme I posted.

The nickel in this thread is a burnt coin just like your dime jral 1 . this is how coins look when found after being burnt along with the burnable trash. you need to understand this before you get censored for keeping showing so many photos of it. look at the real sintered coin 19lyds showed and you can see that the struck in copper dust doesn't flake off like your coins is doing.

There is probably a thousnd different ways and coin can end up looking depending on how long they were stuck in the oven or if a stray coin finds its way into an annealing oven ment for another batch of coins and everything inbetween. Mine looks like it was in there a while and is very spectacular.
Here are hree shots straight on with flash and macro on. The only thing that is different is a slight angle and you can see the luster very clearly at one angle and a fine matte copper appearance at a slighty different angle. 1981 silvercopper reverse maacro.jpg 1981 D Copper Dime !.jpg 1981 copper dime123.jpg
That SINTERED nickel just looks like it was carbonized at regular atmosphere. i can make nickels like that all day long. But this dime could not be reproduced by you or most anyone . Ill give you a million dollors if you could make one exactly like this one!.
