What would you grade this Franklin

I think it is a solid 65, and I bid accordingly and have since been outbid.
Do any of you think this could make a 66 based on the photos?

Just my opinion, but 64 is the best I see this one.

I can see contact marks here and there and the bottom set of the bell lines has something going on that breaks the lines so it won't FBL.

 

IMO, the bid is still well in the range for a 65 and well below the range for a 66. Again IMO, this is not a 66.

 

64 I don't trust the image.

 

I just went by previous auctions for graded examples and most of those sold in the $50 range.

Yeah being from Great Southern it's hard to trust the images, but I've spent a lot of time looking them over and I think they look alright.

 

If you're looking for a good GEM 53S Franklin, here's a link to a dealer I frequent and get a lot of good coins for reasonable prices.

Just being its from Great Southern coin i would not bid anymore on this coin sorry they can't be trusted !!

 

I agree I've herd many stories of people getting coins that don't look nearly as nice as the one pictured

 

Neither do I. It's from 'you know who'.........

 

They are a large company so they have the resources to get people to edit their photos that are very good at getting all of their coins to look better making you think it is a few grades higher then what it actually is !!

 

Without mincing words, Great Southern should be avoided?

Just a question though. Why does my google browser want to translate this site from French to English? It's a long way across the water (Webster NY) to French Canada......
