Hi you crazy people and we have to be crazy to do what we do with coins and currency. Will someone agree with me for no other reason than to make feel better ? I keep hearing about a Roosevelt dime that has an extra line well line behind the ear. I came across this dime in pocket change and it clearly has a thin line running from above the ear to well down below it. Is this the one ? And if anyone has such a dime will you share a pic of it ? Nice double at the eye lid and a strange a on the reverse. The die didn't fill in on this a or something was on the die ? What is it worth if it is the dime I keep hearing about with the line behind the ear ? And if you have one please share a pic. Thanks Rusty
thank you for your reply as is often the case us new to this cherry pickin lack the knowledge and resources to verify a find. I tried to view the picture you sent of one but something eludes me in the software or my e-mail rejected it as spam and I never got it. But your kindness is much respected and i have a couple of these error coins or would they be better called varity coins ? And in case you missed this kind and wise mans name it is ZACK DUBIOS. THANKS ZACK
Thanks for the feed back. I have found a second coin with this variety that is much more visable. behind the ear on other coins is smooth but on dimes of this variety there is a welt of a line that runs just out side of the ear edge from up in the hair to about 3/4s of the ear. not a scratch or coin wear but a raised easy to see line. Best to you as you collect and research Rusty
