I wonder if the guy selling them is related to Lt. Dixon -C/O of the Hunley?

Heck, for $6.50 shipped, I'm in too. If the mintage is truly 250, it'll be a bit of a rarity, especially if the show becomes popular.

IH 1877 1.JPG IH 1877 2.JPG This the closest I'll ever get to owning an 1877 I/H Cent...in AU no less. The trouble with this one though is that it's a tad small at only 9mm.:D I found this unusual counterstamped coin on eBay and thought it was really unusual. Not sure who cut the dies or issued it, but it exhibits good workmanship. The seller had no history on it. She found it in a large lot of U.S. coins she bought. Since the toning is even throughout the coin and stamp, and both show a small bit of wear, I would guess the couinterstamp was applied in the very early 1970's about when the coin was minted. Anyone know anything about it?

It is very well done, clear and crisp impressions on both sides.

I waste more money than this on nonsense items. Maybe this will give the show a little money to help it flourish.

Saw this thread earlier and the pictures didn't show up...and I didn't read it well enough. Thought it was going in another, illicit, direction. Very nice!
