Mr Cazador started it and since then I've been hooked between the spanish and the treasure below the waves!! I was going to purchase a pillar dollar but deciding to hold off for a bit. These coins were actually minted at Philadelphia to help the foreign struggle due to the war.Now I need a shipwreck coin from the 19th century to complete a 3 run set. Very nice coin!

Although not silver, the 1808 Admiral Gardner 10 Cash are probably the most affordable shipwreck coins of the 19th century.

The SS Republic carried a large number of Seated Half Dollars, which can be had for a couple hundred bucks each or so.

The SS Central America's cash box contained a fairly large number of silver dimes, which were in an anoxic environment away from water and exceptionally preserved. These start at several hundred $ and can go into four figures.

I was thinking about the SS New York and the spanish coinage it also had when it went down, the Central America coins are just to pricey as of now.
