I was looking at this recent purchase and noticed the lines on the obverse. One running down vertical from the top and one on the bottom. I would like to hear some opinions on this.

I hope you can see the lines in question with the pictures.

    Nothing on the reverse

That's what I was wondering. Thanks. Do they add any value?

There are some people out there who collect them, but we're only talking a buck or two.

1950 cent thru half dollars are hard to find in high grades raw
    :)
It my birth year set ,putting a MS67 set is not easy.
On pocket or getting someone to sell a grade 1c thru half dollar.

It's a spiked head. Yes it does add
some value. But the W is a fairly
common spot for spikes to hit.

This cent is listed as 50-56B on page 221 in Jean Cohen's book of Lincoln varieties published in 1969. It is a beautiful uncirculated Spiked Head cent. Don't be overly concerned about the retail value of your coins. Rather find JOY in them which is priceless!! I would be proud to own such a coin. Happy hunting...

Thanks for the additional input. I am a buyer not seller. Have never sold a coin yet.
