You may have heard me talk about putting together a themed collection... it's finally done! "Done" being a fluid thing, of course. I already have a few more for the collection and will certainly seek out additional different examples or upgrades. So here's the deal: Guess the theme . It's very specific. I'll give a (modest) prize to the first person who gets it. If the prize doesn't fit your collection, you can designate a different recipient. Below is a composite of 15 coins which fully represent the theme. In this picture they are arranged in the usual order of presentation of ancients, more or less. A brief description of each coin follows. If you'd like to see a larger version of any of them let me know. You can click the picture to make it a bit bigger. I will answer yes or no questions as you try to figure it out. Once it is revealed, I have a fancy presentation ready to roll so please, someone hurry up and guess it! ? Nope. A potbellied pig might be OK but a boar as pet? No thanks. Winged boar? Hmm, could I fly it like a kite? Winged boar on a leash?
Ok, with the exception of a lion, these are all domestic animals (boars, pigs, hounds, dogs, rams). No elephants, snakes, or hypos. So, Animal Farm? Just kidding, I have no idea, but i guess your theme is bit deeper than that.
Not Animal Farm, but that's a great idea! Maybe for my next theme since I only lack a few animals. Don't know that I've seen a raven on a coin but I could cheat and use some other bird.
