Hello, I am new to the site as a Member, however I am not new to the tremendous amount of effort, skill, and knowledge that goes into this website. I have been here as a visitor many a time to spectate and to learn. So thank you for that privilege! I have been a coin collector since I was a child, and it is a passion of mine for over 30 years.. We are a breed of our own, and I happen to think we are pretty cool! But this Coin has me stumped. Any expert input would truly be appreciated.. Thanks in advance...
It seems to me that someone was playing around with a tool (in the same vein as a Hobo Nickel.) Those look like scratches to me (from what I can see in your photos.)
From what I see from my phone....possible double struck better pics that a cropped would help along with a shot of the reverse
Thank you stldanceartist. I feel like there was a tool involved as well, but the trace marks are deep and have a slight clockwise rotation..

The feathers to me look short in length, distorted, and on a slight clockwise rotation. There is also an upside feather triangle by her ear..
