    There are a few others I know of that use cruder words than that...but they're still...how do you say? "Interesting". I can't just spell them out here or Doug will hunt me down, but one is for a #2. Another that some of you are familiar with is the really bad word for a woman who is not a nice person...to say the least. Another one I can think of is a variation of the first one with a four letter word starting in "B" before it. Maybe our 19th century relatives weren't as "Victorian" as we thought. OK, I gotta run, I hear Doug's footsteps closing in.:eek:

    Love it!! I've seen similar wordage in other early pieces other than coins including an 18th c English ceramic plate with a bad word beginning with a c inscribed in the back by the potter in this case I'm just wondering if it was an acronym for something they were oblivious to of was it referring to flatulence
