I would make this your new dump bank. If they do not want to be your pickup, then they can be your dump. Make them work hard for that "honor".

I would respond to their email and ask them politely if they have a daily or weekly limit on how many coins a customer can bring in to deposit, and if they prefer them rolled or unrolled. Before long the tellers will be tired of storing dozens of rolls in their drawers, and if they have a coin machine they will tire of changing the bags every time you come in to make a deposit.

Soon they will realize that one neat order going out every week was less of a hassle than juggling a mountain of coins coming in.

Thanks for the response; however, I have been made aware that this decision has come from the headquarters which are not located in my branch. The tellers and bank manager have been very nice and eager to work with my "hobby". They are not at fault and I don't want to burden them due to their innocence. I have attempted to contact the Senior Management Staff in order to understand the situation but they have not returned my phone calls.

I have opened an account at another local bank in hopes that they will order coins for me. I have yet to hear from their bank manager. I have been busy lately so I will call them tomorrow.

Congrats on the steel penny. I've found two of them since I started at the convenience store I work at. I've found some coins here that I was shocked that were still in circulation. What kind of store do you work at?

went to the bank today and asked for any half dollars or large dollars. the teller told me that one of the other tellers, who was off, had saved me a bunch of 'old silver coins' and to come back tomorrow :)

I work in the money office of a large supermarket so I have to count all of the money from the 60-70 trays that get used each day. So I get look through thousands of dollars in coins and bills. It's perfect for my coin hobby :)
