Great find!! A 93 cc is a scarce one too just out of curiosity since it was probably lost in circulation where was it found (don't need to be exatct just what state) I'm always curious about where early coins got used and ended up since nearly all are going from collection to collection now
Not surprising then I'd more expect a San Fran mint but a cc was in circulation there too would really have been a shock if it was the east coast regardless a great find congratulations!!
And in my opinion a 93 cc is the second toughest year behind only 1889 and extremely difficult in ms being someone who's trying to collect all the cc Morgan's in uncirculated
I'd call it double that a solid vg details due tothe rim damage and possibly a bit of cleaning which pulls it down a lot less than damage to the images is a very desirable coin to many collectors
That's an awesome find for your friend! I've been wanting to get a metal detector for quite some time now, I'd be stoked to find any silver coins let alone something like that CC!
Funny how all the detectors say one good find can pay off your machine. Depending on the machine, it may be true in this case! lol
It's the bottom of the barrel, she had used a Bounty Hunter.... goes to show, those cheap detectors do work!
