lincoln-01-rs.jpg Found this lincoln cent with the last two digits of the year missing.

Not sure if this was a weak strike, error or wear, please post an opinion if you have one. I am no expert and would like to hear from others.

After looking at it again in this thread, I'm guessing it is wear.

Finished 2 boxes of nickels last night. A crusty 44D war, my 2nd 1950 plain in 2 weeks and best of all... An (almost) dateless buf. Looking at it, I'm pretty sure I can make out a 15 for the date and on the back is an "S" mint mark. Should I go ahead and give it a vinegar bath? The date is pretty much non existent anyways.

Found a 55P Jefferson in a bank roll today... not a big deal but it's not the typical date to pull out of two rolls. Only 8.3 million struck.

Just 3 finds at work tonight:
    1957 Wheat.
    1942 Nickel, not a war :(
And finally, a 1948 silver dime! That makes 2 silver dimes at work in the 2 past weeks :)

$20 dimes - skunk. I am at 1 silver per $243 searched. Dunno if that is good or not but I feel like it isn't.
    $200 dollars - 2002D Sac, a hole filler. I am 2 coins away (04d, 12D) from a complete P&D Sac set from circulation.

I didn't get my usual box of pennies for the weekend. One of the 4 tellers at my pick up bank isn't particularly accommodating. The head teller has at the branch has been super easy to work with and I've opted not to make a deal out of it. I'll chalk it up to 1:4 being too lazy to go to the vault. I did get $10 worth of bank wrapped rolls that brought in 3 wheats and a couple of 59-D's.

At another bank I picked up $20 in bank wrapped nickels this week. Skunked on silver and got the uaual assortment of 1940s and 50s vintage coins. Nothing worth mentioning. The last 5 rolls were wrapped differently than the first 15. It appears what I have are 5 rolls of assorted BU 2005/2006-D nickels.

I'm not a nickel stacker, but I'm wondering if there's any value to stashing theses and forgetting about them for 30 years or if I'd be just as well rolling them back out into circulation.

Cool. The earliest I've found is 40. Wish I could find more earlier ones so I could finish off my book.

    Here is the 1929 CND penny I found. Anybody know if it's a high 9 or low 9 variety? Image244.jpg Image243.jpg Image245.jpg

This is probably my best coin find at work ever and I feel like it was fate. On the one day that I happen to be on the register, I get an elderly man that comes to my line gives me this while paying. When he placed it on the counter it was V side up, I got excited. When I flipped it over and saw the year, I couldn't stop smiling, especially seeing the condition that this coin is in. It made made my day. I know that they're only worth a few bucks but I am so happy to have it in my collection now. :D I just love the Liberty Nickel design.
