    Today at work:
0 wheats :( First time in quite a while.
    1971 S cent.
    Nickels: '47P and '57D
Then near the end of my shift I found a 1947 Roosevelt! That's my oldest dime now :)
    I also found a 2009 $1 star note!

I find about twenty wheats per $50 bank bag. Usually from the 40's or 50's. I have found 2 or 3 1909 , no vdbs.

    I am averaging 10 per $25. I've only found 2 1909's, a plain and a vdb.

Not a good start to this week. $375 in dimes, skunk. The last 4 1/2 boxes of dimes have been skunk.

Went through a roll of nickels today and found a 40P, 40S and 45P. Not bad for all 3 being in one roll. The 40S is a great find. This coin is near mint state! This coin had to be sitting in someone's collection for most of it's life. I would take a pic, but my camera really sucks at taking pictures of coins. This is probably one of my best finds ever in terms of a nice quality coin (only been roll searching for 3 years).

4 more boxes of Halves: 2-40% (all in the first box)
I hate to think it, but I may have tapped my area dry. That would really turn this fun hobby boring really quickly.

I wonder how many of your recent skunks have been coins you've already searched?

I haven't been doing a lot of roll hunting lately, but I found 6 silver quarters in a teller's tray and she gladly sold them to me for $1.50. That got me hooked again. So I spent some time with the following results:

    October 7, 2013:

    October 9:

October 14th was fun: a war nickel, a proof , a buffalo with a date, and an off center error coin:

    2013-10-14.jpg
October 16 yielded one 90% Kennedy and 6 40%ers. Also three war nickels (P, D, and S) and one silver dime.

    October 17th:

October 21st: a Ben Franklin half (!) and five silver dimes.

How the heck do you guys get the tellers to look in their trays? Mine look at me like I have 2 heads. What do you say?

Another skunk box of dimes. I have noticed something in common with the past 5 boxes that were skunk. They all had a 6033 stamp on them. I am assuming this number is associated with a distribution center that provides coins to banks. All 5 boxes are from PNC bank, but each of them were purchased in different parts of the state. I ordered 2 boxes of halves that should be coming in tomorrow or Thursday. I will also be getting a few boxes of nickels on Friday. If any of those have 6033 on them and are skunk as well, I will have to assume that specific distribution center sorts out the silver coins.

I had ordered 3 boxes of half dollars for this week. They always come in on Tuesdays. When I came to pick up my order, my teller informed me that the deliver truck made a mistake and delivered 3 boxes of Dollar coins instead of Half Dollars. :( Bummer.
