I hadn't noticed that the coins were the same date. this may explain something about them.

If it is so rare then why isn't it in a holder?

I've never seen one. It's looks like it spun on the die. If it's real.

Some of the pictures show the memorial and it looks incuse. Me thinks this some kind of a squeeze job or something?

My thoughts exactly! I seriously doubt it is worth anywhere near what the guy wants, if it is even real.

Maybe a fake created using homemade dies?

I think you nailed it on the first one and the second one looks like a very obvious squeeze job.

first one seems real, but that price is pretty high. The second one seems that he did it himself.

Why not have them attributed, considering the asking price?

here is what a double struck coin should look like.

Lets go at this another way. If these were attributed (by whoever you feel is worthy) what would they be worth?

usually around 200.00 and probably a lot more in the higher grades. just like anything else it depends on how much someone likes the coin. on ebay there is no limit to how much someone can ask and there is no listing fees now. back when I first started selling on ebay the more I asked for a item the more the listing fee was , I think it needs to go back that way to get some of the junk off there.

So then, in your opinion, would it be correct say the asking price is too much, maybe 10X?

    Because it isn't real.

Bingo! It also appears to have had one vice squeeze as well.
