I used coppercoins to match photos as best as possible (DDO-001) heres a link to coppercoin http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1950&die_id=1950d1do001&die_state=mds
I see no evidence of doubling. There is 0% chance of this being 001 as well because the mintmark position is not the same.
thanks for stopping by non cent, I know it isn't DDO-001, but it has some of the same errors as DDO-001, thats why I was thinking maybe something new, not to many for this year (DDOs)
it looks to me like it is probably an early make of the coin that year. Those coins will be better enhanced than the ones that come out ater in the year. sorta how engravings are worth more if they are the first set it has more detail. This is also why early releases the us mint issues are worth a little more money.
I would Edited...buy/sell/trade offers only in the advertising forums for such. I think this is not the first time you have mentioned services in the other areas of the forum. No more . Thxs.
Perhaps I don't understand, but why is this coin of certification interest? Were you planning on sending it to a TPG? It looks like a normal, low to mid grade MS from the pictures, though there are no full-coin shots. The die scratches beneath Lincoln's head and the presence of flow lines towards the rim on the reverse also indicate that this probably isn't an early die state strike...
Lets end this portion of the thread at this point, it doesn't belong in this area for a couple of rule violations.
No, I have not. I was only telling him to think about getting the coin certified. Would there not be a problem if I told him to go to pcgs or ngc? just because my coin company grades coins makes it a violation?
Not true. You specifically mentioned your 'grading company' and examples of the services you could provide. No, there would not be a problem if you had mentioned PCGS or NGC as those companies do not belong to you . Mentioning ones own service, outside of the advertising forums is self-promotion and not allowed in the other forum areas. If the owner of PCGS came to this forum and made the same comment , he would have received the same treatment.
Lets stay on track everybody, I have more wheats I want to post, I can take some portraits photos of this coin, and its like non cents said, in middle low ms-condition, red, maybe 64, but heres a photo of the only reason for that grade, I'm also going to show the original (not cropped) photo of UNUM
