sounds like each state will have a 00000001 serial number. it would be worth $15,000 to search for them.

Each of the 12 FED districts (assuming notes are printed for all 12 districts) will have a 00000001. They will each probably have more than one.

Keep checking three PNC bank branches near where I live but none distributed yet.
I'm going to withdraw $5K then request 50 new $100 bills and search them right in
the bank branch in a secluded SDBX room then redeposit the ones I don't want.
Figure I can do this at several branches.

Well, there are already hundreds of auctions listing the new notes, many BIN's selling in the $130 range, some higher. Many have multiple notes with consecutive SN's; there's also some error notes listed. Here's a typical auction listing of 10 notes ($1,000 face) for a mere $2,000 minimum bid:

People might know what they are, but that doesn't relieve them of their stupidity in buying these over face.

if it's a repeater or all the same number or ladders why would anyone pay more than face value for them. unless they have star notes for these ??? errors ???

exactly. people who pay those crazy amounts right now are just silly. we will be flooded by these notes in no time. there are hundreds of millions to be had eventually.

Makes me wish my bank had some already to take advantage of the premiums people are paying! Noting like making $30 from nothing.

Haven't people tried going to a main bank and simply asking for one? Mine asked me "Just one?"

Mine still apparently hasn't gotten a delivery of them, but a customer brought some in to the bank today, so I got 3 sequential. Nothing special. Now I'm debating whether it is worth it or not to put them on ebay since people are still buying them for more than face.

I've looked for them in >fifteen banks w/o finding them. I suspect to transition to electronic money transfer means less need for currency.
