Box of Nickels: 25 pre1960, 1926 corroded Buff, 2009P, 1982 CND

 

Finished my $200 in pennies and $200 in nickels for the week:

Nickels gave up a 1919 and 1937 Buf. Had to restore the 1919 since it was dateless.

Cents gave up 95 wheats, 2-1998WAMs(my 9th and 10th), a 2000 WAM(my 25th), a 1960 D/D RPM3, and a 40, 43, and 55 canadian. The 43 Canadian as well as a 36d wheat were hole fillers.

 

Got 2-90% from teller trays

Boxes #14-20 of Halves: 3-40%

 

1 40% half from gals' tray at the county treasurer office.......

 

I'm usually a penny guy, but the teller mentioned they had a box of CWR nickels so I rolled the dice. Got skunked on silver, but did pull a few hole fillers for my most recent Whitman's folder at least. The total take was:

1939, 1941, 1946, 1948 (2), 1952, 1952-S, 1953 (3), 1954-S, 1954-D, 1956, 1957, 1957-D (3), 1958 (2), 1958-D, 1959, 1959-D.

I'll trade that in later this week for a box of pennies and whatever halves or large dollars they have sitting around. Happy hunting!

No major errors or varieties.

However, I'm pretty stoked about the 1916D wheat. Nice early date!

 

I always get confused when people say they got a coin from the teller tray. Did you actually ask the teller to check the dates of all of the coins in her tray? Wouldn't that take a while?

 

Which bank lets you have boxes? My bank makes me carry the pennies out in a bag. haha
