I have been putting penny book together for the past two years, And now to the point that I need to sell some of them at my store. But I am lost when it comes to Putting a price on the sets the books I put together are here in the pictures. any help would be great.
Dealers seem to pay 2-4 cents per copper cent coin. They don't pay more when the coins are in a set. This is assuming the sets are from circulation and do not include keys like the 55/55 and 72/72 etc. I suggest you check the prices on Ebay for these cent coin sets. That might give you a good idea of the retail price.
Thank you I have looked on ebay, But the prices go all over the place, I am thinking 20$ a book 1959+ , the 1930-58 $325, and 1909-1929 $2200.00 I think this might be some fare prices, Most of the coins I put in the books are vf + any thing under that I will not put in a book.
If someone will pay you $20 for a circulated Memorial set, take it and run. As for the 1930-58, $325 is very high for a circ set IMO; think about it... if you pull the 31-S, what are you really left with? The 1909-29 is the one to be very careful with, and you had better be sure all are as advertised. Without seeing the set, there is not much more I can say other than you may want to consider pulling the better coins to sell individually and dump the rest.
