I just don't see any evidence whatsoever of the strong notching and extra thickness in IN GOD WE TRUST, specifically TRUST. In addition, there is no RPM present on die 1...so it's one or the other (or neither). It can't have both.

    This is not die 1.

Die varieties are created on the die. That die strikes all the subsequent coins. Varieties absolutely *have* to match up exactly because they are all created equal. The exception to that is very, very minor changes from one die state to the other, but that's not enough to concern yourself with at this stage of the game.

I don't know how many time I have to say this, the photos will be only as good as the equipment will show, I use a microscope that take photos, error experts use a camera, that setup on a microscope, they both take different kinds of photos, so they will never, ever, look the same, and you can take that to the bank, I'll post the link to this DDO, and you could also have a RPM too, its a repunch mint mark, done by hand, heres an example, if the coins been bang around during its life, the will be extra, groves, bangs, cuts, and etc. heres the link to coppercoin http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1951&die_id=1951d1do001&die_state=lds

It doesn't matter what you use to photograph the coin. The U in TRUST on the one on coppercoins is about 25 times thicker that yours. These were not struck with the same die. I also use a microscope. While the quality isn't as good as the pics on coppercoins, I can still show the same doubling. It's just not close. C'mon man.

everybody, first, coppercoins photos of TRU, is out of plum, and coppercoin is using arrows to show the error on top of the lettering, heres coppercoins photo 1951d1do001la.jpg now, the only difference is minds plum, but has the same error A027 - 20131002_112002 (2).jpg

What are you talking about "plum"? There are no angles or distortion going on in the Coppercoins photos.

No, the only difference is that the coin on coppercoins is 1,000,000 times thicker than yours and the U shows very noticeable splits of two different letters. It doesn't matter if you are 70 degrees out of plumb, you can't make a normal U look as thick and split as the coin on coppercoins. It's just not the same coin, period.

I'll retake trust out of plum, and guaranteed the bottom of my u will look the same as coppercoins, because now the bottom of the u will stick out, because it will be out of plum

The extra thickness and notching you are seeing on the coppercoins example, and the lack thereof on your coin have nothing at all to do with camera angle.

you do know what plum is, here an example, if coppercoins photo were plum, you wouldn't even see the bottom of the lettering, everything would be flush, or plum, to bad wexler site didn't have photos, his are always taking plum, level in and out, that why coppercoin uses arrows on trust to show the error, and again, its on the top of the lettering, not the bottom

Regardless of the angle of the photos, your coins does not display the same attributes that 1DO-001 has. I have seen one in-hand before, and let me tell you that resembled the coppercoins.com example almost to a T...and looked nothing like the coin you have posted.

There is strong notching in the W and E of WE, as well as on other letters...your coin does not show that notching/splits.

heres what it looks like out of plum A037 - 20131003_065415 (2).jpg keep in mind, this photo is only at 250x, coppercoins at least 1000x

You don't know what "plum" is. A "plum" is a fruit. Plumb, with a B, is being exactly straight up or down.

The photo you took out of plumb still doesn't look even remotely close to the doubling on coppercoins. The top of the 2 bars of the U is a dead giveaway. The doubling is so pronounced, you can almost see all 4 bars. C'mon man!

It doesn't matter, Rick. Your coin doesn't show any extra thickness that can be seen on die 1. Let's forget about the splits that are not on your coin and focus on the thickness of the letters. Your photos show a coin with normal thickness...coppercoins.com shows significant extra thickness in the same letters you posted.

Still not DO-001. I'm not sure where you're getting these magnification figures at, but most of the coins from CC that you are posting are around 20X magnification. 1000X magnification gets you to the cellular level and would be absolutely worthless for coins.
