Great notes everyone! I love the consecutive FRNS, the '35A star is kickass and the route 66... man you are devoted to that damn road. I totally forgot about this one: It will be going up for sale soon. Not sure which auction house yet.
Thank you Clay, aside from the minor paper wave on the top margin, the paper looks pretty good to me. Surprisingly, I've come across many raw VF examples with pencil/pen writing on them.
The last 3 notes posted are all Sweet! Funkee, I just have an addiction to matched low serials and my paypal balance was itching to be slimed down a bit... It is an illness, Someone help me! Here's a new silver cert:
It's a little off center but it's clean. Thanks I was thinking of listing it at like $299 or best offer !
Nice pick up kookoox10. I'm going shopping for that type of note at the January FUN Show. I would love to get the Chicago Federal Reserve District like you have, since it is the one I live in. I'm thinking twice face would be a good buy but that may be wishful thinking. I would consider 2.5x face if it is in good shape like yours. I'm hoping there will be dealers with some good show specials there. Congratulations on a great piece and solid example!
Something is always last when you achieve your goal for a collection. This note completes every face design, from all regular issue fractional currency, released into circulation during the Civil War. However, I will still purchase the unissued 15 cent note of Sherman and President Grant designed for the third issue. I have been looking for it over the last year, but have not found the right note for the right price yet.
