1868 REVERSE OF 68 SHIELD NICKEL. WHATS IT WORTH?

    this 1868 shie 37b.jpg 37c.jpg 37b.jpg 37c.jpg ld nickel has the reverse of 1868 with the highest star on the reverse pointing towards the letters ES. i could not find an online price guide for this variety. any ideas about how much it is worth?

    Not much of a premium in my opinion - I would not pay a premium for it myself. What I find more interesting is this looks like the missing leaf variety.

    PS - I have no clue how to price this variety. I think one in worse shape than yours was listed for $29 and did not sell.

    thanks for the reply. the missing leaf variety has the reverse of 67, this coin has the reverse of 68. i guess this coin is probably only worth a few dollars.

    Well my 1868 missing leaf is the reverse of 1867. It looks like from a glance your 1868 is the same obverse as mine - the cracks look the same. I am not sure what all reverses were used with the 1868 missing leaf variety.
