No great shakes here. The first is a newp - bargain bin find with less common reverse legend. The second is just a new pic of an old coin.
Nice additions. My only constans, also one of my darkest coins I own. Gloss doesnt help. Constans (337 - 350 A.D.) Æ2 O: DN CONSTA-NS PF AVG, Pearl diademed, draped and and cuirassed bust left, holding globe in right hand. R: FEL TEMP RE-PARATIO, Helmeted soldier, spear in left hand, advancing right, head left; with his right hand he leads a small figure from a hut beneath a tree. (mint of Cyzicus), 4th offincia. SMKΔ 4.5g
Thanks Chris - it's one of the first LRB's I ever bought, and it seriously piqued my interest in ancients. It's a nice, hefty AE2, on a thick flan. Incidentally, that reverse legend on the first coin is an abbreviation for "Victoriae Dominorum Augustorum Que Nostrorum", or "Victory to our lords and emperors".
*drooool* ... yup, I'm a total fan of both coins, but that desert-patina hound is fricken yummy!! (nice hut!!)
