I finally got to be able to use a good camera to photograph my 1886 morgan dollar with, i have asked about a grade for it before, but I want to know what you guys think about it, sorry that the lighting is different on the obverse, it wouldn't photograph well in ht e same light as the reverse for some reason.

Is that a scuff /scratch under the US of Pluribus on the obverse and also across Liberty's cheek? I'd say if those scratches/scuffs actually look like they appear in the photo on the coin itself it would garner a details grade.

the scratch under plurbus is on the coin, but much less severe than in the picture

the scratches are more accurate in the picture for this thread http://www.cointalk.com/threads/1886-pl-morgan-value.234067/

Unfortunately with those scratches and other marks on the coin it would warrant a details slab. The marks make it a problem coin there's no way getting around that even if it does have a decent eye appeal. It would most likely end up being labeled AU details scratched.

With the amount of "noise" on the cheek and the other apparent luster breaks I'd say you've got an MS-62.
