first, the only doubling on the date is bar, or I'll call tail, that is the marker for the date, remember, my microscope can't pick up the tail, but can see with my 10x, the progression of the bang up date is the staging, next, R in TRUST matches, I know the marker is what I'll call a dimple, again, wexler uses a 1800x, so I can't pick that up either, thats why I used the R in TRUST, and so on
would this coin be worth anything considering it's condition if it was to be one of the lesser doubled dies?
Yes I know, but your pictures don't appear to show the DDO. Even at the magnification you are using, it should still be visible.
Maybe you can try to use an alternative light source with your scope so that you can show us the doubled tail on the two.
h ere everybody, I highlighted the tail in the date, for what I have to offer, this is what starts the ddo, without this its no ddo
non cents your not understanding, what the date looks like is only the staging, the marker is the tail in the date
I tried everything, I can see up to 500, but can only photo to 250, I'm sure wexler photo is at least at 1000x, he can photo up to 1800x
hey, someone should start a thread on markers, and staging, would be very helpful, I learned from doing vam
It's not the magnification power that's the problem. We could recognize 009 even if you zoomed out some. What you need is a light source that introduces shadows that allow us to see what you are seeing on the coin.
