With a supposed spread that strong, I would expect to see the doubling elsewhere on the coin as well. I am thinking damage...you can always send it to a die attributor if you want a "final say".
the nostrils are an exact match on this one. its clear as day its no way thats damage. I've taken Your word on quite a few cents at this point and im going to have to disagree no disrespect intended you been very helpful but the pictures tell it all. even the line coming off the original nostril and the doubled one match.
Yes it is a Doubled die and its been confirmed. I always a get a second opinion. and the pictures like I said show a CLEAR doubling of the nose. what are You looking at?
Thats why it becomes harder for me to believe that some of you even know what your talking about seriously! I posted 3 other cents that You guys have been wrong about no disrespect. Thats a doubled die hands down and if You say it is not then one You mad You didnt find it or 2 You dont know what Your talking about! EVERYTHING matches from the nostril to the line coming off the original nose. I just sent it off to be graded.
If I may ask, who has "comfirmed" this coin for you? You have 3 knowledgeable people saying "no", and others may chime in saying no as well. Where did you send it off to get graded? PCGS and NGC don't recognize non-cherrypicker varieties, and you would need to specify die variety if submitting to ANACS. You'll be out $20+ for a normal coin. Please let us know what the TPG's say, I'm on the edge of my seat. You mean like the coin you swore was rim restricted doubling that I called damage, and Mike Diamond (one of the foremost error experts in the hobby) also confirmed as damage and not an error? When you post a coin, expect opinions that you don't like. That's just a part of posting in a public forum.
You should save this post and look at it in the future. You may change your opinion after you learn a bit more.
Nada, zilch, no nose error and no DDO. Just keep on looking, someday you're sure to find something legitimate.
If you already knew, then why add a ? to the title. Say that it is confirmed, and then I won't waste my breath.
I already found 3 of them so that one day came and left: http://www.cointalk.com/threads/2009-ddr.236325/#post-1787734
