I found 10 of these 1943 steel cents but they are all in this same condition. is there something I can use to clean these?
Since the '43 cents were made of Zinc coated steel , and yours are rusted there's really nothing that I know of to bring them back to life . I guess it would be ok to experiment on a couple of the worst ones by soaking them in some olive oil for a few days . Heck maybe even try some WD-40 . Though most collectors always say if you must clean a coin use the least harsh method 1st . It is good advice next to don't clean your coins unless you know what you're doing . But since these have lost most of their value it won't hurt much to try . Good luck .
