Not the rarest type, but this one is from the earliest period of Teian coinage according to Balcer ("Absence of a magistrate's inscription or symbol, a border and the ethnic inscription, the presence of the late archaic style and the very rough quartered incuse reverse with thick partition lines").That, and the generous flan (the griffin is often cramped on obv.), the style, strike, toning, centering, minimal wear,... makes it very desirable to me As far as the value goes, depends on your budget but, for me, not a cheap coin (second most valuable in my collection).
