Another Peace Dollar toner--one of the most common date coins, but uncommonly "tarnished," with lots of really nice reds, oranges, yellows, golds, and some blue here and there.
Yeah, I really hate those "tarnished, damaged," MS 64 star coins with all that junk on the surface. Why can't they be bright, shiny, and polished?
Seller's (jello_g) pics. What a coin! Happy to welcome this as the centerpiece to my Canadian silver dollar collection.
Here one that been a roll I don't recall . The last bu looking US nickel was 1998 I surprise it toned better than photo shows.
A couple of new photos. A 1969-S that looks like a no brainer RB but the insert says 66RD Cameo and a 1970-S Small Date with double sided color.
These gorgeous toners (ugly lady--beautiful coin) showed up on my doorstep (actually in my mailbox) yesterday. I guess they didn't like the weather in Detroit, so they came to live with me in Florida. Seriously, they are beauties, and look EXACTLY like the photographs (these are Greg's pix, as I have not had time to image, and they are inside a 2x2, which is how they will stay until submission). They are getting sent at the end of the month with a bunch of moderns to NGC--I would guess they will come back as 65s (with an outside chance at 66), possibly with a star. At that time, Greg and I will run a contest with regard to grade ( with a narrow window between submission and report of grade--prize to be announced).
