double die? penny

Looks like a double bump in the "B" and "E" its not flat. What do you think? Thank you. Learning is power

I'm looking, but still not seeing a doubled die...sorry. Doubled dies generally aren't limited to 2 single letters in LIBERTY. They would show on the other letters, and probably other parts of the coin as well.

I'm trying to figure out if you accidentally found one. What's that little bump above the horizontal bar of the L in LIBERTY? Compare it to this one:

Good catch, Jody...I was just looking at the B and E. Maybe it will turn out to be one anyway.

 

there is something over the "L" but all other die clashes from the web site I do not see

 

It could be a different die stage, or it could be something else entirely. This is probably one of those that would have to be confirmed with an in-hand inspection.
