I apologize for the semi-small pictures. I won't have the actual coin in my possession for a few days so this was the best I could do until I can take my own. Sorry I couldn't wait to ask, I was excited and it looks really cool.

I see a lot of fuzziness in the fields on the reverse under between the eagle and the wreath. I'm guessing UNC details, cleaned/polished. Assuming that's on the holder, and the coin isn't cleaned, I'd guess MS-64, with the black toning pulling it back from 65.

The 80-S is known for a strong strike, and PL coins are quite abundant. With that said, I'll wait to see better photos, but I don't see any evidence of improper cleaning or polishing.

Assuming that the marks aren't grease/oil/prints on the holder, what do you think is causing the fuzziness under the wings and inside the wreath?

Many dies that produced DMPL coins (early die state) were often polished at some later point causing this hazy appearance. I've seen and owned numerous specimens that were graded by NGC and PCGS as DMPL which displayed this same characteristic.

looks real nice to me. I generally don't go for the '80-81-82s just because there are so many nice ones there's not much upside. but it is a good way to get a real nice coin to enjoy without a sky high price.
