Why did you pay by MO? You've grumbled about your Paypal account getting frozen in the past, and chcoins.com accepts Paypal. Why didn't you use that? Maybe I'm assuming incorrectly that you rectified whatever caused your account to get frozen/suspended?
Tim, why do you continue to be such a glutton for punishment? You're 21 years old, when are you going to grow up?
Seriously? It is a new drama on a daily basis, albeit without stupid pimple or blackhead commercials on TV. What will happen this week? Car breaks down, kid sneezes and doesn't cover at work, buys another cleaned, beaten up and possibly forged coin that got mailed and took what is perceived to be an undo detour due to the mysteries of the P_O My point is - I really enjoy having him here. His experiences make me feel better about myself and most of humanity.
So you bought coins that there were no pictures for, from a company with OK reviews, and paid a high shipping fee? That's awesome.
Tim, do you recall an event a few days ago where you bought a coin with horrible scans and were fery displeased with it, to the point where you were going to send the seller tips on how to take better photos of his coins? What makes this any different? You're buying coins without photos, and I'll expect another thread in a week or so with youmexpressing your displeasure at the seller's coins because they don't match up the written grade. My god, man, haven't you learned anything about buying coins? I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, but seriously! We go through the same thing every few weeks with you!
Awesome => I think Tim's style kinda rocks!! (man, I would watch that reckless, yet kinda humourous TV show!!) ... I mean seriously, give the guy a break, eh? (what could go wrong?)
Well now I'm kind of scared to even send out payment... I saw this morning that the coins are still listed. So what's to prevent someone to buy them via instant payment (paypal) while I'm sending out paper payment? To make matters worse, I called the place and no one answered the phone.
My guess is they are still listed because the seller has multiple coins fitting that description, you bought one but he has more for sale.
I was one who has told Tim to check out some traditional world coin dealers. I told him if you trust the dealer, lack of pics is not a big deal. A good dealer will decribe the coins correctly. In fact, I trust a good dealers opinion of a coin more than I do a picture. However, I have no idea who chcoins.com is. If others here say they are a good dealer, then I am fine with the order. Btw Tim, many dealers do not update their website instantly, or are always around when you decide to call. Most good dealers are very busy people. Not updating their website instantly or picking up one phone call would not upset me.
Btw Tim, did you check out Frank Robinson like I recommended? Here is the latest world coin list. Its fairly old but there might be some left: http://www.fsrcoin.com/113.htm Contact him and he will email you when a new list is posted. Be quick, as they usually move quickly.
