Not an expert but my understanding is that all national currency notes have a premium unless in very bad shape.

If only my bank would give me that... I would bring it to a few dealers see what they say (but don't sell it they are always trying to rip you off) I would take a free 1929 20 dollar bill any day!

While its neat, it's common and in bad shape. I don't see a big premium over $20.

It's a common district, but it's not in as bad shape as folks make it out to be. It looks like a solid VG. It's worth $25-$30.

It's a great bill to find by accident. As funkee said, it's value would be 5 or 10 dollars over face, not to a coin dealer or a serious collector however. For very little additional cost, they can aquire a much better sample. Also, you couldn't sell this on ebay becasue the fee's would eat up your premium. You need to just keep this in your own collection as a find which did not cost you anything. How you found it is greater than the value of the note itself. That's the real value to you.

Just for the record, it is a Federal Reserve Bank Note not a National.

It is still valid and any bank that is part of the Federal Reserve System is required to accept it.

I'm amazed you can still come across such finds in the wild. Maybe not worth much, but very cool nonetheless.
